Research and Development of Home Nursing Services in Korea

Abstract

The Government of the Republic of Korea has just developed a policy and formulated a relevant regulation for home nursing services as an extramural nursing services as an integral part of health care delivery system coincided with the
country-wide
implementation of health insurance scheme.
The proposal project is to collaborate with the Government institutions to develop home nursing services as part of national and district health system based on the primary health system based on the primary healty care approach. This service
would
e
linked to hospital services for technical back-ups.

-antenatal and postpartum care
-infant care
-terminal patient care
-demonstration and teaching in basic nursing care at home
-health teaching and counselling
-management of family health
-mental health management
-maternal and child health/family planning
-patient referral services
-other necessary nursing care
